This model is designed for protecting small portable analyzers that require very small amounts of flow on a continuous or intermittent basis. For example, this model protects small, portable GC’s that are used for BTU analysis in the Natural Gas Industry. It is also used for some lab GC’s.
Some of the Genie® Model 170’s outstanding features are the 1/16th” low dead volume (LDV) fittings, the fact that an o-ring is not required for sealing, and a 0.16cc internal volume that facilitates quick purging. Please note that the LDV fittings are not provided with the Genie®, but they can be obtained with this model at the time of purchase.
